Story

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a little kid. When I was in high school I really started to learn about the art including developing my own film. While I loved photography it was mostly a hobby until life threw me a curve ball in 2010 and I started doing it professionally. It wasn’t long until weddings were niche and I loved the joy and challenge weddings provided; however, with the pandemic that started in 2020 weddings came crashing to a halt. Crazy enough right before this was I desiring to do few weddings as over a decade of weddings was starting to be a lot. When my desire to do few weddings combined with the pandemic it forced me to figure out my next step. While on a trip to Montana I decided to photograph some friends dogs to see how it would go and it was as hooked.

Since I became a professional photography, I am honored to be a repeat speaker for Shutterfest, Glitch, (premiere professional photography conferences), and write for Shutter Magazine. I believe that all I have learned through photographing weddings has helped me excel in photographing dogs. But why dogs?

Why not? Sure, these furballs we are so passionate about can be knuckle-headed at times. But the love, loyalty, and devotion they have for their humans is one of the greatest gifts we can have. So, why don’t we have photographs to always remind us of all the emotions they bring into our lives as valued family members?
